Parts Coordinator

Summary:
The Parts Coordinator is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and controlling the purchasing, managing, and distributing of maintenance parts, repairs and operations inventory. Also maintains the departmental MP2 database and processes purchase orders to ensure timely payment of MRO inventory items. This position requires tasks be completed that are clerical and administrative, including data entry. Qualified candidate must be able to work in a manufacturing environment that requires climbing balancing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and walking.

Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Replenish inventory items in a cost conscience manner
  • Maintain and reconcile MRO inventory
  • Prepare daily MRO reports and create excel spreadsheet reports.
  • Receive, label and stock all incoming MRO inventory
  • Order, prepare and process parts using a MP2 system
  • Perform routine data entry for various maintenance programs using MP2 and maintain data for all Maintenance programs
  • Purchase tools, parts and equipment to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Coordinates with internal and external parties of the company to provide needed services and support
  • Maintain vendor/employee relationships according to upper management direction
  • Plan, direct and complete all special assignments according to upper management specifications

Job Requirements

  • Must be capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds of force frequently
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in inventory management or supply chain management
  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent communication skills, as there is extensive phone communication
  • Strong computer skills
  • Must be able to perform basic math calculations
  • Experience with MP2 is a plus
