Meatball Sandwich

- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 8 ounces ground Italian sausage
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup Gonnella Bread Crumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 loaf Gonnella French Twins,
split
Mix beef and sausage in bowl thoroughly. Mix in eggs, bread crumbs,
cheese, parsley, garlic, salt and pepper. Form into balls, using
2 tablespoons per ball. Wet hands for easier rolling. Heat oil in
skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion until brown. Remove
onions and discard. Add meatballs and cook 5 to 7 minutes turning
occasionally. Spoon meatballs down center of bottom half bread;
cover with top half and cut into 4 to 6 portions.
