Grilled Italian Sausage With Peppers

  Baking sheet 4 to 6 servings Preheated 375° F. oven
  Heavy skillet
  • 2 pounds Italian sausage
  • 1 red Bell pepper, cut into thin slices Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 loaf Gonnella French Bread, split
  • 1 green pepper, cut into thin slices
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Bake sausage on baking sheet 15 minutes. Remove to grill or broiler and grill 5 minutes, until thoroughly cooked. Heat oil in skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion, peppers, salt and pepper until vegetables are soft; drain. Meanwhile spread cut sides of bread with mustard and put sausage down center. Spoon vegetables over sausage and cut into 4 to 6 portions.
