Sanitation Manager

Job Description
Celebrating our 125 th year in business, Gonnella Baking Company is a well-known leader in the bread baking industry. We currently have an immediate opening for a Sanitation Manager at our Aurora, IL baking facility.

Reporting to the Plant Manager this position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of product quality by directing all activities necessary for the cleaning and sanitizing of production, packaging and dry storage areas on a daily basis. These activities must be performed in accordance with Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP), American Institute of Baking (AIB), Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), and all Federal/State food safety/sanitation guidelines/regulations.

Qualifications

- College degree or equivalent work experience
- 5 years supervisory experience
- 5 years sanitation experience
- Knowledge of sanitation chemicals
- Ability to design, implement and maintain the Master Sanitation Schedule
- Computer literate w/working knowledge of MS Office
- Experience with AIB audits
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Food industry background preferred
- Knowledge, understanding and experience with swab testing, allergen testing and result interpretation a plus
