Job Description

To support the Sales staff in resolving sales and service issues that may arise on a daily basis while at the same time learning sales and servicing techniques from seasoned sales staff.

Description: The intern will drive a sales van to assist the Sales Representatives in correcting service problems, making emergency deliveries, and assisting with summer festival service. The intern will be learning about the nature of wholesale baking business and essential sales and servicing techniques. The intern must have a current driver's license and a clear driving record.

Academic background: The intern will have an academic major in sales and marketing.

Schedule: The intern will work a five (5) day work schedule beginning at 9:00 AM. The typical workday is an eight (8) or more hours per day. Six (6) days may be available during the busy summer season. The summer internship period is for three (3) months.

Compensation: The intern will be paid $10.00 per hour. Overtime is paid after forty (40) hours in a week.

Employment opportunities: There may be an opportunity for a full-time sales position at the conclusion of the internship.

Location: The Baking Facility is located at 1001 W. Chicago Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. It is conveniently located at the intersections of Chicago Avenue, Milwaukee Avenue, and Ogden Avenue and is accessible by CTA Bus and Blue Line Train.
