Under general supervision, responsible for maintaining, repairing and installing existing and new equipment in an orderly and cost-conscious manner. Perform building maintenance projects as assigned. Work efficiently, safely and with a minimum amount of disruption to the production process. Must maintain accurate and timely records of work performed on work orders, maintenance calls and preventive maintenance reports. Prepare specific and accurate parts request forms. Serve as member of Emergency Response Team and participate in training, as required for fire and ammonia. Work from blueprint specifications, sketches and verbal orders to operate or test machines. Maintain fitness levels as required.
Job Requirements:
• Graduate from a trade School in maintenance
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to analyze and solve difficult technical problems
• Must be able to use independent judgment
• Experience in preventative and predictive maintenance
• Knowledge of high-speed production equipment, power transmissions, variable speed drives, servos, and basic I/O
• Must have High School Diploma or GED Preferred Requirements:
• Baking Industry experience
• Technical training and certification in maintenance mechanic is a plus
• PLC experience is a plus
• 2-5 years’ experience in electrical and mechanical work in manufacturing environment
