Summary:
You will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and controlling the purchasing, managing, and distributing of maintenance, repair and operations inventory. Maintains the departmental Computer Automated Maintenance Management System and processes purchase orders to ensure timely payment of MRO inventory items. This position requires tasks be completed that are clerical and administrative, including data entry, requires climbing balancing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and walking.

Description:

Responsibilities:

  • The Inventory Control Coordinator will plan and execute cycle counts in order to achieve and maintain accuracy of inventory within the guidelines set forth by the Company.
  • Prepare count plans and oversee physical inventory counts on a daily basis.
  • Manage variance reports and resolve variances between stated on-hand and physical counts.
  • Use root cause analysis to identify and eliminate the problems resulting in inventory variances.
  • Research and analyzing all shipping and receiving transactions, bills of materials, routing and picking transactions and back-flush errors.
  • Work closely with purchasing, quality, assembly, shipping and receiving, machine shop, engineering, accounts payable, various warehouses and others in order to oversee physical counts and reconcile variances.
  • Update inventory records after variances are reconciled.
  • Maintaining product identification and location program.
  • Conduct review of excessiveand obsolete inventory.
  • Tracking, and reporting non-conforming product
  • Maintaining Inventory Accuracy Metrics Reports- MDI
  • Use raw data to gain insight in making effective decisions.
  • Prepare daily MRO reports
    Purchase tools, parts and equipment to accomplish assigned tasks

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Must be capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds of force frequently
  • Prior experience in manufacturing within the maintenance department
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory management or supply chain management
  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent communication skills and computer skills
  • Must be able to perform basic math calculations
  • Experience with MP2 and CMMS is a plus
