Gonnella Baking Co has been baking bread for over 130 years since 1886 and has maintained their commitment to superior bakery products and a special standard of customer service. Its frozen dough division, Gonnella Frozen Products has been in operation for over 130 years.

Gonnella is currently seeking a full-time Sanitor for 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will have Sanitation or Janitorial experience. Gonnella Frozen Products operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week; candidates must be prepared to work a 3rd shift schedule as well as weekends and overtime as needed. We are looking for skilled team members that will help to maintain the highest standards for a food producing plant.

Position Summary:

Candidate will need to be a functioning team member of a progressive sanitation program to maintain high standards for a production food-producing plant, one essentially free of insects and rodent infestation and which produces wholesome products free of extraneous material and bacterial or other contamination and which complies with and/or exceeds all sanitation standards. Performs duties in the plant, flour room, warehouse, roofs and outside area and grounds. Apply residual sprays and mold sprays. Clean production equipment, flour handling equipment, fans, ceilings, walls and floors. Keeping management informed of unsanitary practices occurring in the plant. Assist in ensuring safe work conditions exist.

Job Requirements:

• Prior sanitation or janitorial experience, or food industry experience is a plus
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime. Typical days off are mid-week.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work 2nd shift starting 12:00 pm.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Must be able to stand long periods of time

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience working in food industry with chemicals.
• Must have prior experience working in a manufacturing environment that required heavy lifting and operating machinery
