Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
 
I. Work Schedule:
 
 
Workdays will consist of a minimum of 8 hours.  The normal work week is Monday through Friday.  May require travel.
 
 
II. Physical and Mental Requirements:
 
 
1. Physical activities required are sitting at a desk, standing, walking, squatting, climbing, reaching, twisting, bending, lifting, carrying, grasping and fingering to do paperwork.  Must have the ability to hear, understand and speak English necessary for customer communication.
 
2. Capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 
pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds or less of force
constantly to move cases of product or individual items.  Sedentary work consists of sitting at a desk or working with paper or forms.
 
 
III. Essential Tasks (Other duties may be assigned or changed to meet business needs): 
 
1. Responsible for providing support during the sales process
 
2. Help customers resolve sales related issues in a timely manner
 
3. Perform the role of Customer Complaint Coordinator, managing the flow of information, returned samples, follow-up and dissemination of documents relating to Customer Complaints.  Troubleshooting is an important part of the position.
 
4. Generally no direct responsibility for selling but work contributes to good customer relationships and enables the field sales team to spend more time selling.
 
5. Plans, implements and coordinates all facets of trade show preparation including input into booth choices, dealing with exhibit contractor, registering attendees for badges and hotel reservations as well as display needs (baking, transporting, set up, layout).
 
6. Works closely with the R & D department on new items, formula changes, improving product quality and follow up on items to Manufacturing, R & D and Sales.
 
7. Escalate issues as necessary to supervisors or other departments in the organization.  
 
8. Design and maintain sales collateral materials working in conjunction with the Marketing, New Product Development, Compliance and R&D teams. 
 
9. Maintain an organized and accessible file system for administrative and sales professionals.  
 
10. Perform data entry duties with regards to sales figures, metrics and other key data.  
 
11. Expedite requests for rush sample orders.  
 
12. Apply excellent attention to detail and organizational skills and to act as a true extension of the sales team.
 
 
 
V. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
 
 
1. Preparation and Training
 
Work requires the ability to read, write and speak English and to perform basic math calculations, prepare reports, keep records and/or deal effectively with other people.
 
2. Work Experience
 
Prefer candidate has a College degree or an equivalent education with a minimum of 5 years sales or support positions.  Proficient in MS Office.
Job requires ability to work independently without close supervision.  
 
3. Analytical Ability
A relatively high level of analytical ability is required in order to find solutions to difficult and complicated customer needs.
 
4. Contact With Others
 
Frequent internal and external contacts while keeping confidentiality as matters of importance are discussed.  
 
5. Supervision Of Others
 
No direct responsibility for the work of others but must cooperate and coordinate work with many others.  Company success is based on teamwork among sales teams.
 
 
 
 
VI. Ongoing Requirements And Standards:
 
1. Maintain a high state of safety awareness.
 
     a. Keep hands out of moving machinery, pinch points, sharp edges.
     b. Lift properly.
     c. Be alert to movement of vehicles, materials, or other people to give right of way as needed.
     d. Must be familiar with Emergency Evacuation Procedure.
 
2. Do not change job procedures without authorization from V.P. sales
