CHICAGO, IL. - Back in 1886, much of Gonnella's baked goods were delivered by horse and carriage. Times changed with the advent of the automobile, so Gonnella began using delivery trucks that enabled them to expand their routes. Today, times continue to change and the environment must be a high priority for every company. That's why Gonnella has taken steps to become a greener company through the use of restructured routes that provide more efficiency. More efficiency means less time on the road, less emissions, and less resources used to help the environment.

Additionally, the new fleet features new colorful graphics utilizing 3M Graphic films. Use of these films eliminates VOC emissions and provide a vibrant, sustainable graphic for many years that will require less upkeep and less changing.

Tom Marcucci, Vice President of Gonnella Baking Company stated, "As a company who prides itself on producing wholesome baked goods, it is important to us to take care of the environment. Every bit helps and as we evolve we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and protecting the earth."

Founded in 1886, the Gonnella Baking Company produces over three million pounds of product weekly at four Chicago area facilities. As a high quality supplier for in-store bakeries, food service industries and contract baking, Gonnella offers several product lines within the fresh baked, baked frozen and frozen dough categories.
