Gonnella Wins “The Healthy Workplace of the Year” Award

Gonnella’s state-of-the-art Frozen Dough facility in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, has garnered “The Healthy Workplace of the Year Award” during the Annual 2016 Business and Community Awards ceremony of Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce. The luncheon was attended by many companies at the Genetti Catering, Hazleton, Pennsylvania on October 27, 2016.

 

Gonnella takes pride in developing a culture of wellness for its employees via a “Wellness Program” that is managed by the Human Resource Department and supported by Gonnella’s Board of Directors. Receiving such a distinguished award is a great testament to this effort.  Every year, the Chamber of Commerce awards companies—big and small—based on their performance in various business aspects. One of them is the Healthy Workplace Award, which recognizes a company’s endeavor in adopting wellness practices into their workplace.

 

The award was accepted by Ms. Robin Hughes, Human Resource Generalist, on behalf of Gonnella.  Several Gonnella employees—Bruce Atkins, Kent Beernink, Robert Cruz, Matt Farran, Elba Gonzalez and Joe Medvitz—attended the event and celebrated with Ms. Hughes.
